Burgh Heath & Kingswood
The residents of Kingswood & Burgh Heath have joined together to form an action group to protect the vital Greenbelt space that runs between the villages.

The residents of Burgh Heath & Kingswood became aware of two major developments of Canons Farm in June 2025.

If the developments were approved then it would have a huge and detrimental impact on the communities and the greenbelt space that all residents enjoy at Canons Farm.

The Farm is presently tended by tenant farmer Michael Jelly. The Farm itself is steeped in history going back all the way to paelolithic times.

Deer frequently use the farm and the fields proposed for development, as a transit corridor across the greenbelt.

Rare species of bird not seen for over 125 years have returned to the Burgh Heath-Kingswood farm land and we have also been informed by Canons Farm Birdwatchers Group, that nesting barn owls occupy the Ash tree right in the middle of the proposed development.
